Regular servicing and calibration of all steam sterilisers is now recognised as an essential requirement and should be carried out at regular intervals. There is also a legal obligation under the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 97/23/EC to ensure a pressure vessel inspection is carried out annually and a current written scheme of examination document is held on file. The recommended service intervals of the Eclipse and Enigma range of sterilisers is bi-annually with a pressure vessel inspection carried out annually.
Excel Healthcare Limited offers a fully comprehensive service plan on all Eclipse and Enigma sterilisers, enabling compliance with all current guidelines and legislation. For an invoiced amount of £480.00 + V.A.T that can be paid either annually or monthly, the fully comprehensive service plan consists of two service visits at six monthly intervals whereby a routine service schedule is carried out under manufacturer’s recommendations and full certification is issued. A pressure vessel inspection is also carried out and a written scheme of examination certificate is issued.
Regular servicing enables technicians to rectify any minor problems that may develop into a malfunction at a later date. This prevents costly and unnecessary downtime. In the unlikely event of a fault occurring between scheduled service visits this will be carried out as quickly as possible with no additional charges.
